Triton Tungsten Leads to Failed Marriage

By Chad Stevenson

The bond of marriage is one of the most sacred unions that two humans can seal with each other. When these two people want to seal their ironclad bond with the each other, they buy wedding rings that are as durable and ever-lasting as their marriage supposedly will be. However, be sure to choose wisely when buying that special ring for that special someone. If a ring is flimsy or easily breakable, like those made out of Tungsten, this breakable ring may symbolize a breakable marriage as well.

Let me tell you a story. Two college graduates, a boy and girl, finished their degrees with excellent grades. With one being a math wiz and athlete and the other being proficient at writing and journalism, they were destined to do great things, before they put all those things on hold to rush into a quick marriage. They hadn't been seeing each other that long and their parents wanted them to think hard on this first. However, they both disregarded this advice and chose rings for each other: Triton tungsten rings.

The couple moved into an apartment together soon after marriage, anxious to live together as soon as possible. They both greatly anticipated their new marriage and being together, not believing that it would ever end. One day though, the guy was outside when he accidentally slipped his tungsten ring off his finger. It hit the hard ground and split apart into two pieces upon impact.

Ever since the tungsten ring broke, a string of other "breaks" began to form in their marriage. They fought constantly, they began to suspect each other of infidelity, they slept in separate bedrooms, and nothing seemed to be working between them anymore. It started to sink in that perhaps their parents had been right; maybe they had jumped into an experience they weren't prepared to swallow.

The tungsten ring which broke apart easily when hitting concrete, symbolized everything that failed in the marriage between the two young people. It should have been a strong forged bond, like the ring, but it turned out not to be in the end.
