Have you missed Glee? For sure you do. However, there are circulating rumors that the next episode will be aired on the 12th of April. Sad to say, you have to wait a little long to hear their latest songs, the hottest hook ups and Sue's most evil quotes. On the lighter side of the note, instead cry and go crazy watching the reruns, why don't you just celebrate the National Karaoke Week. Yes, National Karaoke Week is a fun and apt event to glorify you inner Gleek. This is a non legal holiday that people celebrate with singing karaoke song along with some swigging. If you want to have a Gleek party, this happening is the perfect date to hold it. For the benefit of other Gleeks or Glee fans out there, here are the things that you should contemplate organizing a singing party for National Karaoke Week that will be April 17-23.
Tip #1: Plan ahead
It would be brilliant if you have a plan or a script on what will happen in your Gleek party. You can also conceptualize on what will be the theme of your party at home. This way you are able to distinguish how you can design your party venue, what songs you can sing and the party favors and promotional products that you can disperse after the event.
Tip #2: Budget
You should have adequate estimated expenses for your Gleek party at home. You can ask for contributions from attendees. Hence, it should be a fixed amount that will be divided among your friends who will be present. If you have resources plans ahead of time, you won't have any major problems during the whole course of organizing such kind of occasion. More than that, you can also think of special promotional products that you can furnish to all your guests.
Tip #3: The Food/Beverage
Since this is a social gathering with a theme, make sure that everything will be correlated to your central theme. Food and beverage should also depend oh the theme that you have chosen. You can have finger food that fits beer or cocktails. You can also design varied kinds of finger food and cocktail mixes that are cleverly named after a character in your favorite musical series. You can have some Will's wiener, Rachel's berry strawberry punch, Sue's spicy wings, Brittany martini, Finn's French fries and many other uniquely named recipes.
Tip #4: Games
Since this social gathering is in honor of the National Karaoke week, you can have a singing challenge that you can bring about in different divisions. You can have solos, duets or by groups. Choose the choicest songs that were performed in that said show. The champs should glean some special promotional products as prizes.
Tip #5: Role Play
Role playing is really and exciting technique to venerate such kind of happening. Be in character and sing a production number just like how the Glee cast did it. Choose a song and sing your own rendition of it.
Tip #6: Party Favor
A Gleek social gathering deserves nothing but best souvenirs that is inspired by the hit show. Since it is a musical show, why you distribute promotional cards or bookmarks? You can have a photo shoot with the Glee hand sign and imprint it on your custom logo cards and bookmarks. Additionally, it would be fabulous if these custom made cards or bookmarks would be a musical card.
